Barrio Writers - Virtual 2021
We invite all youth between 13-21 years old to participate in a week long college-level creative writing program led by BW Writing Advisors Elvia Susana Rubalcava, a local Chicana writer and playwright and Adelin Tiburcio, a first generation college graduate from Chapman University - both from Santa Ana. The workshops will provide youth with an opportunity to learn different forms of writing (poetry, spoken word, hip-hop, short stories, essay), a path to college, a live reading by local poet Gustavo Hernandez and a free cultural arts field trip!
